Weekend in Review

Saturday was errand day. We headed out to target and found that their Global Bazaar items were on sale. We bought a new rug for the living room and a closet sweater organizer. The rug makes our living room look really nice and grown up! It’s amazing how a small change like that can really make a room look different. We moved our other rug to our bedroom and it looks nice as well. Bonus to both. Mission organization was also successful. We rearranged the closet with my new sweater organizer and Collin got a special hanger for his dress pants. We have a lot more space and I feel like things are coming together.

After we hit up Target we went across the way to Trader Joe’s. We got the BEST (Collin doesn’t like it) Strawberry Lemonade. As I’ve said before, I love all things sour and this stuff is the best. We also got a garlic parmesan baguette for dipping in our oil at home and it was amazing as well. So I’m definitely a fan of Trader Joe’s after this outing.

Saturday night was date night. We had dinner at the Pasta House close to us. It was pretty good! We walked down to the Coffee Cartel for some warm drinks before we headed to the Fox Theatre for:

Let me say…it’s not a show that I would feel comfortable sitting next to my parents and watching. However, it was HILARIOUS! The musical consisted of songs such as: The internet is for porn and We’re all a little bit racist. There was also a slightly disturbing puppet sex scene. If you have the chance to see it, I recommend it. It’s something off kilter and not your typical musical.

Sunday was lazy day. We took Lola for a walk, did some house cleaning, ironing, gave Lola a bath and just chilled. All in all, I’d say it was a good weekend!

Collin has the week off to study for the upcoming Illinois Bar…. ugh. I decided that one bar exam was enough for me and I’ll just deal with the off chance that I’ll need to use it in IL in the near future. Keep him in your thoughts as he goes through this again.
